Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our team at Saxon Global. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for contributing to projects on various technologies and domains, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, and supporting the evaluation of technology impact on existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to projects on given technologies and domains, remaining abreast of developments in those areas.
  • Support the evaluation of technology impact on existing systems, based on your expertise.
  • Assess the effectiveness of technology resources in use or new systems being implemented.
  • Work on the impact of changes and modifications to systems.
  • Ensure the optimization, validation, and approval of technology applications to customer products.
  • Fully understand customer technical requirements, processes, procedures, limitations, and constraints, as well as TechM's technology, resources, capabilities, limitations, and constraints.
  • Work with the project team to identify and harness technical resources and capabilities required to deliver production and quality metrics as defined by customers.
  • Guide technical teams through project implementation phases, performing all activities related to maintaining successful knowledge management, including reusability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Promote team work, motivate, mentor, and develop subordinates.
  • Provide application production support as per process/RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed) Matrix.
  • Plan, execute, control, and ensure closure of projects, while managing people and delivery excellence in all parameters of time, cost, and processes in projects.
  • Drive execution of the project roadmap and manage the entire project lifecycle from strategy planning to tactical activities.
  • Ensure high customer connect for the project, building processes for all relevant team members to engage with the customer.
  • Ensure completion of Project Satisfaction Report and relevant survey and feedback mechanisms.
  • Guide the launch of projects from concept to delivery by managing the project and governing the overall budget.
  • Articulate and explain designs and constraints to stakeholders after understanding customer perspectives.
  • Ensure compliance to internal tools.
  • Sensitize the team to go beyond immediate deliverables to assess how to provide greater value to the customer on an ongoing basis.
  • Determine methodology and processes for quality planning (in concurrence with project planning), define standards to use, document quality criteria, and quality measurement processes, face audits, and project process monitoring.
  • Review project profitability and other agreed parameters and provide relevant status reports to management and customers.
  • Ensure steering committee meetings and other regular meetings with customers.
  • Develop supporting documentation and materials, including demonstrations, presentations, and other tools to ensure solutions are easy to manage and repeatable.
  • Create and maintain project-level dashboards to enable effective project management.
  • Promote team work, motivate, coach, and develop people in the team to build functional skills and desired behaviors to deliver results.
  • Ensure high levels of engagement within the team.
  • Manage complex scenarios effectively, like business risks, multiple vendor issues, code red situations, and customer expectations without impacting associates adversely.
  • Provide technical and other guidance as required to the team and assess the performance of associates.
  • Help the team achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, removing obstacles, and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Define the project's schedule and scope while balancing this with timely and regular value deliveries, and organizing and leading working and project status meetings.
  • Deliver Agile projects that offer outstanding business value to users.
  • Support the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer expectations for deliverables, and implementing an effective project governance system.
