As a Cost Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for the monthly reconciliation of assigned warehouses and co-packers, maintaining inventory control, calculating product costs, and payment of invoices for various co-packers or subsidiaries of Hormel and invoice payment in Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile monthly financial statements for assigned warehouses and co-packers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain inventory control and calculate product costs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process invoices for co-packers and subsidiaries, ensuring timely payment and accurate accounting.
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting, providing insights to management on financial performance and trends.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • One year of experience in cost accounting or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Office, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle experience, with knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
  • QAD experience, with knowledge of inventory management and control.
  • DataServ experience, with knowledge of financial data analysis and reporting.
