As an Electrical Engineer with our firm, you will play a vital role in designing and integrating electrical systems that meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive electrical system designs for buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects and other engineers to seamlessly integrate electrical designs into overall building plans.
- Utilize advanced calculations and simulations to optimize electrical systems for efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Analyze contractor submissions and conduct site inspections during construction to guarantee quality standards are met.
- Promote energy-efficient practices and sustainable design principles in electrical system designs, aligning with industry best practices.
- Engage effectively with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and address feedback in a timely manner.
- Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety codes, maintaining a strong commitment to excellence.
- Foster collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and contribute to the firm's objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings or similar projects.
- Proficiency in project management software for tracking and managing project progress.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documentation across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
- Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) software such as Revit.
