Accounting Specialist: Financial Reporting and Analysis

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Vaco. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute the month-end closing process, including the preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory records, working closely with the production and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting of inventory levels and valuation.
  • Handle all aspects of general ledger accounting, ensuring that all debits and credits are recorded accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other key financial documents.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and V-lookups, to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with strong knowledge of pivot tables, V-lookups, and other advanced functions.
  • Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and management in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
