Assembler I Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Assembler to join our team at Dover Food Retail. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for completing refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies, including tanks, canopies, base frames, hardware kits, plenums, or other parts as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend A orders
  • Identify parts used on assigned product lines and their placement locations
  • Identify power and hand tools used on assigned product lines
  • Read and comprehend work orders
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools
  • Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information
  • Utilize information on material gauging and dimensioning
  • Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Work as a member of an assembly team building units to completion
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling
Requirements:
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
