Responsibilities

As an Extrusion Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring high-quality products, and adhering to safety protocols. Key responsibilities include:

• Reading, writing, and communicating in English to understand and follow instructions and procedures

• Performing mathematical calculations to accurately measure and record production data

• Working in a fast-paced production environment, maintaining a moderate pace to keep up with production demands

• Utilizing manual dexterity to handle, grasp, and manipulate materials and equipment

• Standing for extended periods, walking, and frequently bending and lifting up to 50 pounds of plastic

• Operating forklifts, roll carts, and lifting equipment to move materials and products

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Prior experience in extrusion operations or a related field

• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols and procedures

• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and priorities

Work Environment

The work environment for this role is fast-paced and dynamic, with moderate to high noise levels and temperature variances. You will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and will need to work in a teamwork environment.
