Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary goal of this role is to provide outstanding customer service in a retail environment at All American Sweets Inc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting every customer, responding to inquiries promptly, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product presentation.
  • Process customer transactions accurately, ensuring the protection of sensitive payment information.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels in display cases and storage areas, ensuring product quality and freshness.
  • Assist in inventory management by preparing packaging materials.
  • Perform regular cleaning duties to uphold a tidy and welcoming environment, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Prepare baked goods as needed to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure product consistency by monitoring baking conditions and adhering to recipes.
  • Document inventory and production accurately.
  • Complete end-of-day cleaning tasks as required.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may evolve over time.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Effective communication skills for addressing customer inquiries and providing information.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based in a climate-controlled retail setting with occasional exposure to cold storage areas. Appropriate attire is provided.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this role include:
  • Regular communication with customers and team members.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting as part of daily tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for close and distant tasks.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
