Position Overview:

The Senior Healthcare Facility Planner will oversee documentation and associated healthcare architecture essential for the design and successful delivery of medical facilities, aligning with the firm's dedication to excellence in design and quality. This role involves cultivating relationships with healthcare clients and promoting the firm's services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Principal in Charge/Project Manager and lead the healthcare planning team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the design team to harmonize medical planning with overall project design strategies.
  • Engage in healthcare planning, programming, and medical equipment coordination.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the FGI Guidelines and ensure proper coordination.
  • Direct project documentation through the planning, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Document (CD) phases.
  • Facilitate client user group meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  • Stay updated on master planning, design, and relevant medical architecture practices necessary for the effective delivery of healthcare facilities.
  • Deliver robust planning that reflects the firm's commitment to design integrity, quality, and adherence to schedules.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the healthcare industry.
  • Mentor and guide junior medical planners in their professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in architecture is mandatory, along with an Architectural License.
  • At least 15 years of architectural experience in Healthcare Facilities Planning is required.
  • Experience working within California's HCAI/OSHPD jurisdiction is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ADT, and Revit is necessary.
  • A keen interest in integrating data analytics into medical planning processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, contributing to planning in Revit while providing clear guidance to junior staff.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A valid motor vehicle operator's license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work-related tasks are required.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office and two days of remote work, with flexible scheduling options.

Compensation may vary based on job level and geographical location.

Salary Range: $140,000-$155,000
