Position Overview:

  • Direct the mechanical design and development of Military Standard Electro Optical Systems, with a focus on enclosure design and environmental durability.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and performance objectives related to enclosure design and environmental safeguarding.
  • Develop comprehensive designs, drawings, and specifications for ruggedized enclosures and system components utilizing advanced CAD software.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and testing to ensure compliance with military standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
  • Devise innovative solutions for thermal management, shock and vibration reduction, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding.
  • Supervise prototype fabrication, testing, and production of enclosure components in collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical systems engineering, with a focus on designing structural support mechanisms and deploying Military Standard Electro Optical Systems.
  • Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with environmental testing standards and methodologies.
  • Comprehension of military standards and specifications pertinent to Electro Optical systems (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.

Global Compensation:

$160,000 - $180,000
