Job Description

The Service Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests at Big Boy Restaurant Group LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the dining room's cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring that tables, floors, seats, and restrooms are spotless at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, including tables, floors, and restrooms.
  • Ensure that service staff and chefs have access to clean dishes, glassware, and silverware at all times.
  • Adhere to health guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for food storage, preparation, and handling.
  • Keep the dish room area clean and organized, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to uniform standards at all times.
  • Ensure exterior cleanliness, including parking lots, sidewalks, planters, and other location-specific areas.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Able to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Walking in and out of refrigerated and freezer areas.
  • Sufficient strength and agility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Good hearing, visual, and English speaking skills.
  • Ability to read English and follow written directions accurately.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of foods, ingredients, and cleaning supplies.
  • Good mobility of fingers, hands, wrists, and elbows.
  • Able to work in a hot environment.
  • Able to work with steam, hot and cold foods, and ice.
  • Good memory, math, and organizational skills.
