Lead Nursing Supervisor - Full Time

Schedule: Sun, Mon, Tues 12-hour shifts

POSITION:

As a Lead Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee nursing services for residents within a specific unit during your shift. Your responsibilities will encompass direct patient care, administering prescribed treatments and medications, delegating tasks to staff according to their competencies and resident care requirements, and managing the direct care team. Additionally, you will participate in the recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures for team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform daily assessments on the unit to evaluate residents, supervise staff assignments, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Delegate tasks to staff based on the needs of residents and the skills of the team
  • Provide orientation and training for newly hired staff members
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Develop and update resident care plans informed by observations and input from the interdisciplinary team
  • Coordinate care with various disciplines, agencies, and healthcare providers
  • Document care and services provided during your shift
  • Report any significant changes in resident conditions or incidents to the appropriate personnel
  • Participate in educational programs and assist with long-term care evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Preferred experience in long-term geriatric care and supervisory roles
