The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in delivering resident-centered care and daily living assistance to our residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
- Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
