The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in a long-term care setting. This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
- Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
- Obtain and record vital signs, and provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
