Position Title: Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TABB) Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret system blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and performance data to ascertain the correct configuration and function of system components.
  • Gather and organize system test data while making field observations and providing recommendations.
  • Develop detailed reports, checklists, and documentation of test outcomes, addressing any issues with supporting documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in working with HVAC and mechanical systems, including all related sub-components.
  • Conduct performance testing of air and hydronic systems utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
  • Exhibit mathematical proficiency necessary for executing basic and advanced calculations related to air and hydronic balancing.
  • Travel to various project sites as required.
  • Work autonomously or collaboratively as part of a team.

Job Specifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; a degree in mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Journeyman-level experience with HVAC systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the TABB industry.
  • TABB, NEBB, or AABC Certification is mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or Adobe Pro is preferred.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor while upholding organizational values.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in various environmental conditions.
