Yuma Regional Medical Center is seeking a talented Academic Psychiatrist to join our team in a Faculty Position in Psychiatry. As a key member of our Graduate Medical Education program, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor residents in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Position:

  • Combination of precepting, administrative time, and direct patient care (carry your own panel of patients) - 60/40 split.
  • Full-time, hospital-employed.
  • Ideal start date, with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in psychiatry preferred; however, new graduates are eligible to apply.
  • Residency program leadership or faculty experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be American Board Certified or board eligible.

About Our Psychiatry Residency Program

  • New psychiatry residency for an established Graduate Medical Education program.
  • Initial 4 residents to start the program, with plans to add residents over time.

About Graduate Medical Education & YRMC

  • YRMC's Family Medicine Residency program established on July 1, 2013, has grown rapidly, achieving 27 residents in 2023 and plans to expand to 36 family medicine residents.
