About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Sevita. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic music services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to promote communication, cognitive, motor, emotional, and social skills.
  • Utilize various music therapy techniques, including singing, listening, instrumental music composition, creative movement, and guided imagery.
  • Provide written documentation of services and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in music therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy or completion of an approved Music Therapy Equivalency Program.
  • Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC).
  • 6 months of experience working in music therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
