Clinical Nurse Practitioner

Join our dedicated team at Lancaster General Health as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner. This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing services to our diverse patient population across various age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Work Schedule:
Part-Time (24 hours per week)
- One day per week with variable hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- One afternoon/evening per week from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM
- One half-day per week, either from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
- One Saturday per month from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nurse Practitioner, you will:
1. Provide clinical guidance through phone and electronic communication, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
2. Educate patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, and medication adherence.
3. Prepare patients for their visits using standardized rooming procedures.
4. Administer prescribed medications and injections in compliance with departmental protocols.
5. Assist healthcare providers with minor procedures and examinations.
6. Conduct Point of Care Testing and collect laboratory specimens for analysis.
7. Manage prescription refills and monitor patient test results.
8. Maintain cleanliness and supply levels in exam rooms and medical equipment.
9. Collaborate with providers to review and adjust care plans based on patient progress.
10. Engage in proactive outreach for patients needing preventive and chronic care services.
11. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and care quality.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an LPN or RN educational program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Pennsylvania.
- AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care setting.
- Background in triage, emergency care, or related nursing specialties.
