Essential Job Functions

As a pediatric nurse with Aveanna, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, and reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate
  • Documenting all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner
  • Participating in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan
  • Providing education to patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Hold a current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Have current CPR certification
  • Have demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • At least six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • The ability to travel
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds
  • The ability to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Environment

You will be working in a variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other conditions.
