Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school district. This full-time position entails working 32.5 hours per week and requires a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings to address students' specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on improving functional abilities and promoting independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate therapy goals into the students' academic and daily routines.
  • Monitor and document students' progress regularly, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
