Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physician Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide primary care and obstetric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, practicing full scope internal medicine. You will deliver care to a resilient patient population that is ethnically diverse and medically complex, with the aim of achieving optimal health outcomes for every patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care that supports our aim for improved health outcomes, exceptional patient experience, and efficient use of resources.
  • Perform Routine and Urgent Medical Care: Conduct routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to patients, determining appropriate regimens and prescribing medications, treatments, or therapies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work effectively as a team member to support quality/efficiency standards, exercising good judgment, communicating effectively, and making decisions with speed and accuracy.
  • Develop Positive Rapport with Patients: Foster strong relationships with patients and families, delivering well and chronic disease care with cultural humility to a diverse patient population of all ages.
  • Participate in Quality Initiatives: Suggest improvements for clinic flow, patient scheduling, and service delivery, collaborating professionally with interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements
  • MD/DO Degree: Hold a degree from a recognized University.
  • Board Certification: Be board certified in Internal Medicine or board eligible with a commitment to become board certified within 2 years of employment.
  • Valid California License and DEA: Possess a valid California license and DEA registration.
  • BLS Certificate: Hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electronic Health Record Experience: Have knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Record programs, such as NextGen or Epic.
  • Language Proficiency: Possess English/Spanish proficiency, although not required.
