Job Summary

We are seeking a board-certified pediatrician to join our team of healthcare professionals at La Clinica de La Raza. As a pediatrician at our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide primary care to children from birth through adolescence, working in an outpatient setting and collaborating with a well-trained care team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to youth, determining appropriate regimens as needed and initiating referrals to medical specialists as required.
  • Screen and monitor the management of stabilized chronic conditions in asymptomatic and well patients.
  • Attend to and/or admit patients to appropriate hospitals as needed, ensuring 24-hour availability of care to patients by sharing night and weekend call with other physicians.
  • Develop a positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.
  • Serve as a member of the cross-functional team of providers, consulting with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants on the assessment, management, and treatment of complicated cases.
Requirements
  • MD/DO degree from a recognized University.
  • One to two years of experience working in a primary care clinic setting.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics or board eligible with the ability to become board certified within two years of employment.
  • Valid California license and DEA.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate.
