Job Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Prepare and process payroll, including tax calculations and deductions.
  • Generate monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Manage and reconcile company bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards.
  • Support annual audits and tax preparation processes.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial procedures and controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

LHH Recruitment Solutions offers a competitive hourly rate of $30.00 to $33.00 per hour. Our benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Our associates may be eligible for paid leave, including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.
