Role Summary

City of Hope is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to assist in surgical and/or endoscopic procedures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing necessary supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during operative procedures, ensuring that necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are readily available and anticipating needs.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in sterile technique.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel, while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and unit care data.
  • Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings, serving as a clinical mentor to others.
  • Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain and promote clinical competence and expertise to ensure clinical excellence, patient safety, and positive clinical outcomes.
