Job Description:

The LPN/LVN provides on-site nursing and attendant care to patients in Newport Healthcare facilities. This role requires performing all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare and complying with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPPA, local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and nursing services to patients as prescribed by program regulations and individual treatment plans, including collecting medical specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records, including Medication Administration, medical records, and medical charts.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed.
  • Prevent client abuse by adhering to all policies and procedures, attending periodic training, reporting suspicious behavior, and following mandatory abuse reporting requirements.
  • Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures.
  • Obtain patient data and vital signs and report findings to the RN/Medical Director.
  • Screen residents for medical/dental exams and schedule appointments, providing medical information on a need-to-know basis.
  • Comply with all reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, and medical protocols.
  • Attend meetings per prior arrangement and participate as an interdisciplinary team member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state where working.

Compensation:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $26.95-$37.73, based on education and experience, along with benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision, Company-paid Life Insurance, Voluntary STD/LTD, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, and PTO/Sick time.
