Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals. As a Laundry Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our patients' clothing and linens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and sort clothing and linens for cleanliness and quality
  • Operate industrial laundry equipment to wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective laundry operations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in laundry operations or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to lift and move heavy laundry equipment and supplies
