Job Title: Laundry Worker

Department of State Hospitals is seeking a skilled Laundry Worker to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to work in our laundry department. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting clothing and linen for cleanliness, sorting and distributing wearing apparel, and maintaining clean equipment and work areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect clothing and linen for cleanliness and quality
  • Sort and distribute wearing apparel
  • Maintain clean equipment and work areas
  • Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in laundry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a laundry environment, which may involve exposure to chemicals and hot equipment. The ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy objects is also required.

Special Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
