We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Vectour Group. Key Responsibilities- Punctuality and Attendance: Report to work as scheduled, ensuring consistent and reliable attendance.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service, distributing and retrieving customer survey cards, and engaging with customers in ground transportation.
- Driving Responsibilities: Drive a 14(+) passenger bus to and from management-designated locations, operating the shuttle bus in a safe manner, adhering to speed limits and obeying all traffic devices.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections, notating damages or defects, and recording fuel level and mileage, detecting warning indicators on the bus and communicating the need for service to the Supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Driver Supervision: Supervise drivers, providing verbal and written corrective measures, completing disciplinary forms as needed, and providing ongoing observations and training to all staff.
- Training and Onboarding: Ensure proper training for new hires to operate shuttle buses, assessing and addressing any areas of concern during the training process.
- Fueling and Bus Assignment: Fuel buses when instructed and turn in fuel cards once completed, checking the driver schedule and assigning buses accordingly.
- Communication: Provide professional communication via radio with dispatchers, following instructions provided by dispatchers for staging or pick-up, and communicating the status of ground transportation and the need for a bus.
- Route Familiarity: Learn and follow several prescribed routes around the airport.
- Incident Reporting: Complete the customer incident form in the event of an accident or incident, recording keeping and utilizing technology as required.
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License Requirement: Per DOT Regulations, a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement is required.
- DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
- Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may apply, including 3rd shift and/or weekend work.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ability to write simple correspondence.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Competitive Pay: $24.00 per hour, paid biweekly.
