Pharmacist - Acute Rehabilitation Hospital Setting

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily operations within the hospital pharmacy meet customer and patient expectations.
- Contribute to and develop pharmacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and auditing agency regulations.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team, providing information and utilizing team input to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Accurately interpret medication orders, compound, and dispense medication preparations in accordance with legal and professional standards.
Patient Population: Our acute rehabilitation hospital setting serves patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and various neurological disorders. 80% of our patients are discharged directly home.
Evidence-Based Practice: We utilize evidence-based practice guidelines to treat our patients, continually assessing and improving our treatment interventions and programs. We participate in a national outcomes database to analyze and improve patient outcomes.
Professional Development: We prioritize your growth as a pharmacist, pairing you with mentors and providing in-house and external educational programs. Our treatment team includes full-time therapists, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and medical staff, offering opportunities to learn beyond your discipline.
