In addition to patient transport, the specialist retrieves essential documents, including medical records and lab results, as well as necessary supplies and medications. Prioritization of tasks is crucial to maintain the smooth operation of the department and to uphold high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established safety protocols during all transportation activities.
- Regularly inspect and maintain transportation equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient safety practices, infection control measures, and effective communication skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational abilities and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in patient transportation or related healthcare roles is preferred.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is necessary.
Work Environment:
This position is offered on a per diem basis, allowing for flexible scheduling as needed.
