Job Title: Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist to join our team at the State of Florida. As an Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and services in the areas of STI evaluation and treatment, birth control and family planning management.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced nursing care to adults and teens, including STI evaluation and treatment, and birth control and family planning management.
  • Work closely with the Medical Director to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Perform medical acts, including diagnosis and treatment, under the supervision of the Medical Director or within the autonomous APRN scope of practice.
  • Establish presumptive medical diagnoses based on medical history and physical findings.
  • Counsel and maintain follow-up to ensure continued care and compliance with medical care and treatment regimes.
  • Participate in educational activities, including clinic education, community programs, patient education, in-service programs, and continuing education.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
  • Experience with STI treatment and birth control management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Autonomous APRN license.
