Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, evaluation, and intervention, to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Utilize standing orders and provider guidance to administer medications, injections, and lab specimens, while monitoring for reactions and documenting in the electronic medical record.
- Provide in-person and phone triage services, educating patients on healthcare delivery systems and identifying personnel resources.
- Document interactions and patient information, including symptoms, education, and disposition plans.
- Initiate and provide emergency care, including intravenous therapy, and demonstrate ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Provide leadership in facilitating clinic efficiency and effectiveness, working collaboratively with team members to recommend and implement changes.
- Serve in a leadership role, coordinating daily operations with other clinical staff, and providing direct supervision of student staff.
- Responsible for maintaining medication dispensary formulary, ordering pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and other medications, and providing consultation to certified medical assistants and certified nursing assistants.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Wisconsin or Nurse Compact License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of start date required.
- Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
