Occupational Therapist: Beloit, WI

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soliant. As an OT, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges. You will work closely with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans that enhance clients' ability to perform daily activities and improve their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional abilities. Identify impairments and functional limitations impacting daily living and work activities.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practices. Set specific, achievable objectives for therapy.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to clients, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and activities designed to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive function.
- Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about adaptive strategies, the use of assistive devices, and techniques to support daily living skills and promote independence at home.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in occupational therapy through continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
- Community Involvement: Engage in community outreach and educational activities to promote awareness of occupational therapy services and support local health initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Wisconsin state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Certification: Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish rapport with clients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
