Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operations of the Solid Waste/Recycling work group, including planning and implementing waste collection routes.
  • Manage public education campaigns to promote waste reduction and recycling practices.
  • Participate in community programs related to waste reduction and recycling.
  • Complete all required regulatory reporting.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal programs.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • A commercial driver's license (CDL) - Class A or Class B is preferred.
  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited College/University with major course work in Business, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or a closely related field.
  • Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate from the American Public Works Association or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in public works, fleet management, vehicle routing, solid waste, or a recycling related role.
  • Two (2) years of lead or supervisory related experience is preferred.
