Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Host/Cashier plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Under general supervision, you will greet and seat visitors, managing the flow of guests in our dining area. This position is part of the esteemed Ladies & Gents of Belterra Park program, where you will embody the Boyd Gaming brand by providing an exceptional entertainment experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities outline the expectations for this role:

  • Deliver outstanding guest service by maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor, demonstrating politeness and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Become knowledgeable about all dining outlets and functions to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Participate in promotional activities, including modeling and public relations efforts.
  • Perform engaging entertainment routines that enhance the guest experience.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond with urgency and care.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the entry area.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to provide top-notch service.
  • Assist in seating guests according to their preferences and availability.
  • Inform guests about daily specials and menu highlights.
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Manage the reservation system and maintain necessary supplies in the host area.
  • Accurately process payments through the POS system.
  • Participate in special events and maintain compliance with uniform requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance service skills and knowledge.
  • Complete assigned duties with attention to detail and efficiency.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with guests.
  • Familiarity with electronic reservation systems.
