We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical HIV Consultant to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. As a key member of our National Clinician Consultation Center, you will provide expert education and guidance to healthcare professionals nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert consultation on HIV management, including medical management of persons living with HIV, antiretroviral selection and treatment strategies, and prevention of HIV transmission.
- Offer guidance on viral hepatitis, including evaluation and management of persons living with hepatitis B and/or C.
- Manage occupational and non-occupational exposures to blood-borne pathogens, including HIV, hepatitis B, and C.
- Provide PrEP care, including HIV testing, antiretroviral monitoring, and drug interactions.
- Answer incoming calls and ensure timely delivery of expert HIV consultation.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or equivalent training.
- Intensive knowledge and expertise of pharmaceutical theory in a specialty area.
- Minimum 5 years prior experience analyzing clinical studies and including new developments and approaches into clinical practice.
- Demonstrated competence in clinical practice, health information systems, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification and resolution, and teaching.
- Post graduate year 1 (PGY1) in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
- Post graduate year 2 (PGY2) in area of specialty practice or equivalent experience in specialty area required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with HCV treatment and monitoring.
- Prior experience managing complex blood-borne pathogen exposures.
