Nursing Supervisor

Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Estherville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to oversee both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services.

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Nursing Supervisor is to manage nursing activities and facility operations for an entire shift.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor:

• Support the Director of Nursing (or designated representative) and facility administrator in overseeing daily operations of the nursing services and other assigned areas.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and revision of written policies and procedures that govern the daily operations of the nursing department.
• Ensure that reference materials (such as PDR's, Federal and State Regulations, etc.) are available at the nurses' station and kept up to date.
• Guarantee that a current copy of the Nursing Policies & Procedures Manual is accessible at each nursing station, reflecting the daily nursing practices at the facility.
• Ensure adequate staffing of qualified RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to deliver high-quality care.
• Implement and uphold established facility objectives in accordance with federal and state licensure regulations and nursing standards.
• Participate in the creation of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of each resident's nursing needs, as required.
• Assist the DON or designated representative in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job-related functions to ensure proper documentation of tasks with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Advise the DON or designated representative on necessary equipment and supplies for the department, ensuring a sufficient inventory of medications, medical supplies, and equipment is maintained.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information.
• Assess staff competency during care delivery and provide educational opportunities in individual, small group, and large group settings as needed.
