Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Marsh, Rickard & Bryan. As a key member of our litigation department, you will provide critical support to our attorneys in managing complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and File Legal Documents: Prepare and submit pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and other court filings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Case Management: Assist in maintaining and organizing case files, managing discovery, and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Medical Record Management: Order and summarize medical records to support case preparation and trial.
  • Expert Witness Support: Assist in providing materials and information to expert witnesses as needed.
  • Trial Preparation: Aid in preparing for trials, including researching and organizing evidence.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to support legal proceedings and provide analysis to attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a paralegal, with a minimum of 5 years preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with legal drafting and court filing systems, proficiency in word processing, and related technology.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to be organized, prioritize, and multitask, and deadline and detail-oriented.
