Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Saint Joseph East in Lexington, Kentucky. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Care Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and develop personalized care plans to ensure effective treatment and recovery.
  • Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications to patients, taking into account their medical history, allergies, and current condition.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education and support to promote health literacy and self-care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution;
  • A current Registered Nurse license in the state of Kentucky;
  • At least two years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting;
  • BLS and ACLS certifications;
  • Specialty certifications required based on unit specifications.
