  • We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Department Operations Supervisor in the Produce Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • As a Department Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to produce team members, ensuring that all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
  • You will also work with the produce trainer to train new team members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
  • In addition, you will maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
  • Your responsibilities will include opening and closing the department according to established procedures, ensuring all necessary breaks are given, and communicating team concerns to the team leader and associate team leader.
  • You will set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, fostering and encouraging a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Key performance indicators will include customer satisfaction, sales growth, inventory management, and employee engagement.
  • You will select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
  • Consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Product knowledge, advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.

Estimated Salary Range: $62,000 - $85,000 per year

About Location

The successful candidate will be based in our store location, where they will work closely with our team to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall shopping experience.

  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
