Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Hyatt Regency Crystal City. As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, and Food & Beverage Outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, and Food & Beverage Outlets.
  • Maximize room revenues and occupancy by analyzing daily status rates and making adjustments accordingly.
  • Manage large events and ensure high volume occupancy special requirements.
  • Analyze rate variances, monitor credit reports, and maintain close observation of daily house counts.
  • Coordinate major projects, such as renovations, capital expenditures, and equipment changes.
  • Conduct weekly Operations meetings, including monthly financial review with subordinate managers and senior hotel directors.
  • Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting and monitor labor expenses through schedule approval process.
  • Hire, manage, and train subordinate managers and employees.
Requirements
  • 6 or more years of progressive hotel experience, focused on rooms and F&B division.
  • 2 or more years in Director of Operations role.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Experience in Room and F&B management ideally in hotels.
  • Proven leadership skills.
