Director of Operations

At Hyatt Regency Crystal City, we strive to deliver exceptional guest experiences through our dedicated team members. As a key member of our Executive Committee, the Director of Operations plays a vital role in driving hotel operations and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, and Food & Beverage Outlets.
- Maximize room revenues and occupancy by analyzing daily status rates and making data-driven adjustments.
- Manage large events and ensure high-volume occupancy special requirements are met.
- Analyze rate variances, monitor credit reports, and maintain close observation of daily house counts.
- Coordinate major projects, such as renovations, capital expenditures, and equipment changes.
- Conduct weekly Operations meetings, including monthly financial reviews with subordinate managers and senior hotel directors.
- Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting and monitor labor expenses through schedule approval processes.
- Hire, manage, and train subordinate managers and employees.
- Short and long-term planning and management of Operations in the front and back of the house.
- Develop and recommend budgets, marketing plans, and objectives, and manage within approved plans.
- Lead and develop colleagues in the Rooms and F&B Division.
- Ability to assimilate operational statistics quickly and leverage them to enhance the property's position.
- Develop standards and operating procedures, as well as incentive programs for the leadership team.
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures.
