Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage and service an assigned book of business, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and retention.
  • Business Development: Assist in the growth of the book of business through proactive sales and marketing efforts.

  • Renewal Management: Manage communications from clients regarding renewal inquiries, coordinate with employers, employees, and insurance carriers to verify insurance-related data, and master internal client management systems.
  • Proposal Development: Develop, modify, and finalize professional sales presentations, written communications, and other documents to support client needs.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with carriers and other service providers on behalf of clients to secure optimal solutions.
  • Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify and assist in developing cross-selling opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Insurance Policy Reviews: Perform insurance policy, coverage, and exposure reviews to ensure clients have optimal coverage.
  • Client Meetings: Conduct open enrollment meetings and prepare documents to support client needs.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on industry developments and practices, and maintain a strong working knowledge of plan designs and industry trends.
Requirements
  • State Life and Health License: Possess a State Life and Health License or obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Benefits Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of benefits and benefits processing, including medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life, FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA, etc.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of State and Federal Compliance laws.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, specifically MS Office suite.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: Possess 3 or more years of client coordination and/or claims management experience in a broker or carrier organization.
  • Travel: Be able to travel at least 25% of the time for networking, prospecting, and to client locations and industry events.
