- Negotiation: Negotiate with carriers and other service providers on behalf of clients to secure optimal solutions.
- Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify and assist in developing cross-selling opportunities to drive business growth.
- Insurance Policy Reviews: Perform insurance policy, coverage, and exposure reviews to ensure clients have optimal coverage.
- Client Meetings: Conduct open enrollment meetings and prepare documents to support client needs.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on industry developments and practices, and maintain a strong working knowledge of plan designs and industry trends.
- State Life and Health License: Possess a State Life and Health License or obtain within 3 months of employment.
- Benefits Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of benefits and benefits processing, including medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life, FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA, etc.
- Compliance Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of State and Federal Compliance laws.
- Technical Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, specifically MS Office suite.
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience: Possess 3 or more years of client coordination and/or claims management experience in a broker or carrier organization.
- Travel: Be able to travel at least 25% of the time for networking, prospecting, and to client locations and industry events.
