Job OverviewCore Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and execution of governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms pertinent to the financial oversight and performance of the capital investment initiatives.
- Establish control measures that align with capital program guidelines and methodologies.
- Guarantee the successful execution of various stages within the capital investment program.
- Enforce quality assurance measures and program protocols.
- Formulate best practices for the management of capital programs.
- Compile essential management reports detailing status updates and budgetary information.
- Track and report on capital-related and engineering performance indicators.
- Prepare documentation for monthly Capital Program Management Committee discussions.
- Encourage the engineering team to devise cost-efficient solutions.
- A Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, or engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in water and/or wastewater utility engineering or project management.
- Robust knowledge of financial principles and budgeting.
- Exceptional project management capabilities and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and financial analysis.
- An active state driver's license is required.
- 5-10% travel may be required within designated Operating Units.
- Occasional travel outside of designated Operating Units may occur.
- The position is primarily office-based with potential overnight travel.
- Up to 2 days of remote work may be permitted each week.
