Key Responsibilities:
As a Merchandiser within military retail environments, your role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing product management and maximizing sales performance. Collaborating closely with the Territory or Base Manager, you will focus on product visibility and availability through effective inventory management and merchandising strategies.
Inventory Oversight:
- Track stock levels and ensure product availability in military retail outlets.
Visual Merchandising:
- Execute visual merchandising strategies and planograms to optimize product placement.
Marketing Initiatives:
- Implement promotional strategies to boost sales and elevate product visibility.
- Work alongside management to develop in-store marketing campaigns, including signage and product demonstrations.
- Assess the success of promotions and modify strategies based on performance metrics.
Stock Management:
- Regularly restock and organize products supplied by S&K Sales.
- Ensure adherence to merchandising guidelines for optimal product display.
- Maintain an orderly and visually appealing shelf presentation.
- Communicate inventory needs and restocking requirements effectively.
- Utilize the FIFO method to manage product rotation.
- Monitor expiration dates and manage product removal as necessary.
Product Presentation:
- Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of displays and shelves.
Relationship Building:
- Foster positive relationships with retail management and staff.
- Engage regularly with personnel to stay updated on operational needs.
Sales Insights:
- Develop strong partnerships with store management to align on sales strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with military retail standards and regulations.
Work Environment:
Work Hours: Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays.
Conditions: Potential for extended periods in temperature-controlled areas.
Equipment Utilization:
- Access to necessary communication tools.
- Utilization of hand trucks and other equipment for product handling.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adaptability to changes in procedures and workflows.
- Potential involvement in cross-training for various operational areas.
