Position Overview:

A reputable IDD Group Home is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential medical oversight for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring the health and well-being of residents.

Key Details:

  • Employment Type: Part-time
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9 am to 5 pm (14 hours weekly)
  • Environment: Group Home
  • Clientele: Medically underserved individuals
  • Electronic Medical Records: PrecisionCare

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee annual and routine healthcare services for residents.
  • Supervise AMAP staff in medication administration and record-keeping.
  • Act as a liaison between families and residential staff regarding medical inquiries.
  • Ensure timely completion of all documentation to comply with agency, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning healthcare matters and diagnoses.
  • Report incidents, including allegations of abuse and neglect, to management promptly.
  • Advocate professionally for the needs of all individuals served.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is advantageous.
  • Experience with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is preferred.
