Job Overview

You will also be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and running high-speed converting and packing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in your area, ensuring that production runs efficiently and effectively.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating moving parts.
• Control the process from a computer terminal, monitoring and adjusting settings as needed.
• Run high-speed converting and packing equipment, ensuring that products are packaged correctly and efficiently.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for 12 hours, with only ~10 minute breaks each hour.
• Lift 45 pounds to at least 5 feet 6 inches, times in a 12 hour shift.
• Have fine dexterity to cut and use hand tools.
• Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes).

Working Conditions

The Albany GA Procter & Gamble Plant operates 7-days per week. Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Work on weekends may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. The Albany Ga site works an alternating work schedule alternating between 12 hour day shift and 12 hour night shift rotating with assigned team. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift. Additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.
