GPAC is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a working fleet that meets DOT requirements. Your duties will include diagnostics, service repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will work independently on equipment that requires a high level of skill with hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics. You will also collaborate with drivers to troubleshoot faulty equipment and utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate repairs. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge on existing equipment and reading and understanding equipment manuals. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience working on diesel trucks, construction equipment, Tractor/Trailers, Agriculture equipment or Dump Trucks. You will also have mechanical and electrical knowledge, welding experience desired but not required, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for making the most of your working time, creating a safe work environment, and demonstrating our commitment to safety to your colleagues and customers. You will also be expected to keep company equipment clean and orderly and understand and adhere to all OSHA standards. If you are a motivated and skilled individual who is passionate about diesel technology, we encourage you to apply.
