Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in the Surgery Recovery Room, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Surgery Recovery Room, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address any identified concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a critical care or PACU setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
