Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Anderson Dahlen. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements to design fabricated components and systems for manufacturability. You will work closely with operations, sourcing, quality, and project management to meet and exceed customer expectations.

• Design and develop fabricated components and systems for manufacturability
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets manufacturability capabilities
• Ensure designs meet safety, cost, and regulatory requirements
• Research and implement advanced technologies for best practices in high-precision stainless steel manufacturing
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers in Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Provide input into make versus buy decisions for components within a system

• BS degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Machine Design, or related field
• 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Solid experience with product design and manufacturing, especially Design For Manufacturing (DFM)
• 3D CAD skills, preferably in Solid Works
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and ASME, FEA calculations
