JOB OVERVIEW: The Educational Leadership Manager at LEAD Public Schools is committed to fostering growth within the network and enhancing the educational experience for students and families. This role is pivotal in ensuring that educators receive tailored, research-informed support, enabling them to cultivate learning environments where every student thrives. The manager will oversee the performance of educators through structured coaching cycles, which encompass observations, constructive feedback sessions, targeted coaching strategies, and discussions centered on the impact of coaching on instructional practices. Furthermore, the Educational Leadership Manager will collaborate with the Assistant Principal of Instruction to design and implement professional development for teachers, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver LEAD's academic framework effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management:

  • Accountable for achieving instructional goals by selecting, onboarding, training, evaluating, and managing the performance of educators.
  • Conduct formal performance evaluations and compensation discussions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Encourage reflective practices among educators, fostering critical analysis of their instructional methods.
  • Establish strong relationships with educators and team members.
  • Inspire and motivate educators to prioritize student success in all professional endeavors.
Curriculum and Content Expertise:
  • Facilitate the application of state standards through the agreed-upon academic curriculum.
  • Enhance educators' subject matter expertise by serving as a content specialist.
  • Analyze standards to identify essential knowledge, skills, and learning objectives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and scholarly readings.
  • Participate in collaborative professional learning communities.
Instructional Leadership:
  • Work alongside the Assistant Principal of Instruction and the Academic Team to enhance educators' understanding and application of academic standards and instructional models.
  • Develop comprehensive coaching plans with specific goals and success metrics to drive professional learning.
  • Support educators in achieving their objectives by monitoring progress and employing coaching strategies that gradually shift responsibility to the educator.
  • Build educators' capacity to analyze instructional practices through continuous classroom observations and data analysis.
Professional Development Facilitator:
  • Collaborate with school leadership and teacher leaders to design and implement professional learning aligned with educator needs and student outcomes.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of a professional learning plan on a quarterly to annual basis.
  • Evaluate feedback to inform future professional development priorities.
  • Identify educators requiring individualized professional learning plans for enhancement or advancement.
Additional Responsibilities: Lead or collaborate on assigned projects or initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Valid teaching license preferred; eligibility for state licensure is a plus.
  • A minimum of three years of outstanding teaching experience with a solid pedagogical foundation.
  • Coaching experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of instructional strategies.
  • Experience in leading adult groups in educational settings is beneficial.
EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred, though proven leadership experience in an educational environment is essential.
